STMicroelectronics introduces the SRK1004, a highly versatile synchronous-rectifier controller designed to simplify the design and enhance the efficiency of power converters across various applications.
The SRK1004 synchronous rectifier controller from STMicroelectronics simplifies and improves the performance of converters using silicon or GaN transistors. This helps in applications such as industrial power units, mobile device chargers, and AC/DC converters.
The device operates with a sense input up to 190 V and supports both high-side and low-side configurations. It comes in four different versions, making it simple for designers to enhance their systems by choosing the appropriate variant as per their requirements for gate-drive voltage, ranging from 5.5V to 9V. This selection supports logic-level MOSFETs, standard MOSFETs, or GaN transistors, with compatibility for active clamp, resonant, and quasi-resonant (QR) flyback converter topologies.
